Solutions - Signature ProgramsKBFUS helps individuals, families, corporations and foundations achieve their philanthropic goals in Europe and Africa. A Signature Program provides donors with a customized solution to manage a personalized giving strategy in Europe or an exchange program between the United States and Europe. Personalized giving strategies usually involve the selection of grantees or prize winners through a request for proposals covering one or more European countries. Exchange programs between the United States and Europe enable talented men and women to study, research or interact with their peers across the Atlantic. Fellows take home new ideas and make long-lasting connections, while bringing closer together both of our worlds that share so many challenges and opportunities. Signature Programs are tailored to the donor’s wishes and interests. They are crafted in close collaboration with the donor and take advantage of the management expertise of KBFUS and its Brussels-based affiliate, the King Baudouin Foundation. Signature Programs are subject to minimum budgets to ensure that the program can be carried out effectively. The minimum budget requirement is determined on a case-by-case basis. Some examples will help you determine if a Signature Program is the tool that you are looking for. In most cases, Signature Programs are managed in association with our Brussels-based affiliate, the King Baudouin Foundation (KBF). They benefit from KBF’s vast networks, extensive knowledge of the European NGO sector, and 30 years of grantmaking experience. Named after Belgium’s late head of state, KBF is a leading foundation in Europe. It is a founding member of the European Foundation Center and the Network of European Foundations for Innovative Cooperation, and a strategic partner of the European Policy Center, a leading think tank in Europe. With KBFUS, you will gain a serious, knowledgeable and flexible partner. KBFUS is a member of the Council on Foundations and the New York Regional Association of Grantmakers (NYRAG). KBFUS supports the efforts of the ‘United States International Grantmaking’ (USIG) project, an initiative of the Council on Foundations.
